K.E.Y. Zone (Knowledge, Enrichment, and Youth Development) is a collaborative program of the Duluth Y and ISD 709 Community Education.  The locations of these high quality programs are at all 9 Duluth Public Elementary Schools, which provides services for grades K-5 year round including summer and school breaks.  

 

 

School Year Programming 


Open to students attending the school during the day. Program is open at select sites during school breaks from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with an additional $39 daily rate per child.

Hours: 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (when school is in session)

Rates: A $30.00 registration fee for each child. Fees are due with completed registration materials and are non-refundable.

Registration Date: To start on the first day of school in the fall, you must register between April 2019 through August 1, 2019, but space is limited at some sites so register early to grantee a spot. Registration after August 1, 2019, the start date will be decided by site capacity.

Summer Programming


Open to area children (need not attend Duluth Public Schools). For students who have completed kindergarten through completed 5th grade. Activities include special on-site programming and weekly off-site field trips.

Hours: 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Dates: Monday, June 17 – Friday, August 23 (closed July 4th), 20 days minimum enrollment with flexible scheduling

Registration Fee: A $30.00 registration fee for each child  (only if you did not participate in the school year program)

Rates:  $39 daily rate (includes weekly field trips)

Sites: at select ISD 709 elementary schools

Registration Date: Opens March 4, 2019 and closes May 15, 2019

County assistance accepted, but must call the main office to register.
