WHY WORK FOR THE Y?
Melissa Fanning, Community Services Executive Director says, “I love knowing that our programs at the YMCA are helping community youth and families so they can be successful.”
Leslie Bucar, Day Camp Director, says she loves that the YMCA gives her the support and opportunity to share her excitement for nature and the outdoors with youth. Exploration, play, self-discovery, and knowledge are things that she values and brings to the program.
Jacob Sass, Harbor Highland and Food Access Director, says he enjoys the opportunity to take youth on field trips that provide them with new experiences in their community that might not have been accessible without the Y.
Henry Schwensohn, Member Services Representative, says since I have joined the Y team I have noticed that all the staff that work here are the most genuine people I have ever been around, and that didn’t stop at the doors of the building. The YMCA is able to bring you into a community that makes you feel welcome no matter who you are or what you are going through. I truly love being able to say that I’m a part of it.
