This program is designed for students in kindergarten-5th grade. Great Expectations School (GES), Cook County Independent Schhol District (ISD 166), and children who are homeschooled are all welcome to participate!
Monday-Thursday, from school dismissal to 5:15pm. The After-School All-Star Program will run only when school is in session.
YMCA and ISD 166 campus. ISD 166 students and homeschool students will be picked up at by the preschool rooms at 3:10 pm and students from GES will be picked up by a bus and delivered to ISD playground at 3:30 pm.
$7.50/day 3:10-5:15pm. $3.50/day for program transfer. $35/day for full-day program on non-school days. Scholarships available.
Yes! Click the Register for Programs button in the upper right hand corner of this page. Click log-in to access your account or choose Find My Account if you are already a member. Search for After-school All-Stars. Select the days your child will be attending and answer the questions (if you are a returning most of your information should be saved from previous years and all you’ll need to do is update any changes of address or contact information if there have been any changes). Once registered, you can view a summary of your enrollment, change your days and times as you need to, and make payments or schedule payments.
Sawtooth Elementary students will go to the Eagle doors to meet All-Stars staff at school dissmissal time: 3:10 pm. GES students will be picked up at school dismissal at 3:30 pm and ride the bus to the ISD 166 playground.
Pick up areas change depending on the activity. Communication about the pick-up areas will be sent out each week to registered families. Pick up on Tuesdays will be always be at the pool at the YMCA.
It is required that a parent signs their child out, so children are not allowed to ride their bikes or walk home alone. We want to have verbal and visual contact with each parents at the finish of each day so we can pass along any important information.
It is required that your child is registered ahead of time. If a child is not on the roster, they will not be able to participate. They will remain in the school office and parents will be notified. You can register up to 12:00pm on the day of the program by calling ahead to the YMCA Membership desk.
To cancel your child’s enrollment, you must notify the YMCA by 12:00pm on the day of the program. If your child is signed up for a day and can no longer attend, you will not get a refund if the change was not submitted by noon on the program date.
Here’s a list of things that your child will need for the program
- Bring a water bottle, layers of clothes to accommodate for changes of weather or accidents, weather appropriate footwear for outside play, and any medicine or required medical devices such as Epi-pens and inhalers.
- For Tuesdays Pool Day, bring a swim suit and towel.
- NOT allowed: valuables, bikes/skate boards, or any electronic devices.
Payments are due the Friday before the next week starts. You can make a payment of any size at any time as long as it is prior to the Friday before your week. For example, you can pay one lump sum for all camp, set up bi-monthly or weekly payments – either make the payment on your online account, stop in to see us, give us a call, or set up scheduled payments to automatically withdrawn on certain dates.
Yes! For families that qualify for free lunch, there is a 50% reduction in the price. Families that qualify for reduced lunch get a 25% scholarship.
