Located at 1225 East Village View Drive near the intersection of Central Entrance and Mesaba Avenue, the Harbor Highlands Community Center provides youth programming, rentals, and special events. Youth Program
The Duluth YMCA host free youth programming at the Harbor Highlands Community Center for ages 5 - 17. A meal is served to the youth when the program is in session. A typical day at Harbor Highlands will include daily clubs, such as cooking, Science technology engineering and math with 4H, Coordinated approach to children's health, sports, art, and more. These clubs promote teamwork, creativity, responsibility and healthy living. There are also weekly field trips off-site.
- School Year Programming: Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
- Summer Programming: Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Families must fill out a registration form on the first day of attendance with the program to participate.
Health Realization
Health Realization is a cognitive skill-based program that helps support mental health and is effective for helping those dealing with addiction. Meetings are facilitated by Richard Howell every Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Childcare is provided by YMCA staff as well as light refreshments for participants.
Food Access
Meals will be provided to all without charge to youth under the age of 18. The Y serves healthy meals for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Meals are provided on a first come, first served. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Meals are provided by the Child and Adult Care Food Program and other funders.
- During the school year, a meal is served Monday to Friday, at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- During the summer, a meal is served Monday to Friday at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Rentals
The building is available for rent for various events like baby showers, presentations, trainings, birthday parties, etc. The space rented includes a meeting room, gym, and a program room. Contact Director at ppatterson@duluthymca.org or 218-722-4745 X120.
- Individuals who do not live in Harbor Highlands and wish to rent the space would pay $70 for the first 2 hours and $35 per additional hour.
- Individuals who do live in Harbor Highlands and wish to rent the space would pay $45 for the first 2 hours and $25 per additional hour.

True North Americorps
The Duluth Area Family YMCA’s True North AmeriCorps program enhances students’ critical social emotional learning skills through enrichment programming and one-on-one support. Our members serve full or part time at afterschool programs, community centers, summer camps, and elementary schools across Northern MN. Youth in Government
Youth in Government is a youth run program where students from around the state of Minnesota come together to model government and national procedures. As well as learning about the government, they learn embody the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
