Training and Support
Our aim is to equip instructors to work effectively with diverse groups of youth and to build capacity to embed nature-based programming for youth in organizations city-wide. With this goal in mind, Youth Outdoors-Duluth sponsors a menu of training opportunities in outdoor and environmental education, diversity, race, and cultural awareness. AmeriCorps Members, sponsored in part by the City of Duluth, participate in YO-Duluth’s Outdoor Leadership Institute and provide outdoor programming in sites across the city. See what workshops are coming up and find out how to get involved! Trainings are made possible through a grant from the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.
