Our Specialty Camps are designed for a wide range of experience, from beginner to expert. Throughout the week, groups generally spend half of the day focused on their specialty area, (i.e. biking or horseback riding). For the remainder of a day, the group’s activities may include swimming in the lake, arts & crafts, archery, visiting the camp store, and all-camp events and campfires.

Beginner Horseback Camp

Ages 9 +

In Beginner Horseback, campers get to know one specific horse they will ride and care for throughout the session. During daily group lessons, campers focus on individualized riding plans tailored to the skill level of each camper. The number of participants in each session is limited to strengthen the level of interactive instruction. In addition to riding, Beginner Horseback participants enjoy traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts, archery, boating, climbing the tower, and all-camp events.

Intermediate Horseback Camp

Ages 10+

Intermediate Horseback campers have participated in the beginner program and are ready to develop new skills, as they are given opportunities to practice skills without staff aid. Riders enjoy longer trail rides and take their horse for a swim in the lake. In addition, Intermediate Horseback participants enjoy traditional camp activities, such as arts and crafts, archery, boating, climbing the tower, and all-camp events.

Advanced Horseback

Ages 11+

Advanced Horseback is a program for campers interested in honing horsemanship skills developed in previous programs. Skills are developed through daily riding lessons as well as hands-on workshops in horse care, tack maintenance, and barn management. In addition to riding, Advanced Horseback participants enjoy traditional camp activities, such as arts and crafts, archery, boating, climbing the tower, and all-camp events.
