This Week in Renovations (TWIR)

Youth Center/Racquetball courts;  Kids Club is fully moved down to the youth center and court c.  It is a little crowded, but the transition has went pretty smooth.  The air handling units should be up and running by the middle of next week, which will cool it off a little for our staff and participants.  We have decided to change the hallway to carpet from the epoxy paint that was going to be put in.  We are just waiting to hear back from the contractor on when it will happen.

Pool Level;  The family locker rooms opened on Monday as scheduled!  We have run across a few glitches that are being worked on—water temp, water pooling up on the floor, needing more hooks and sealing the floor.  We have a plan in place to address most concerns and are moving on it as quickly as possible.  The main locker rooms were moved down on Sunday night and they seem to be working out fairly well—although they are a little crowded.  Please let me know if there is anything else that needs to be moved in to make life easier for yourself and our members.

Main Level;  Demo has begun in all areas.  Will send out a more definitive timeline as I hear. A rough estimate is 2 months before we have the locker rooms and kids club again.  It is exciting to see how quickly it all comes apart.  We do have lockers for sale.  The price is $5 a locker or $20 for a 5 foot section.  Jeff is heading up the sales, please connect with him if you, or someone you know is interested.

Second Floor;  We have ordered the flooring and are waiting to hear how long it will take to get here.  Women’s restroom is close to complete and looks very nice.

Outside of the building;  Some new glass has been put in and the rest should be going in fairly soon.  After that they will start to tear out the walls and let in the natural light!!
