Believe in Someone
Mentor Duluth matches positive adults with young people between the ages of 5-17. We believe that all youth have the need for an adult role model, outside of their family, to be a friend and a support. Most youth enrolled are from single parent families or two-parent families with special needs. Our matches are based on shared interests between the young person and adult. Currently there are over 300 mentor matches, as well as 200 youth waiting for a mentor. Mentor Duluth is a collaboration of seven youth-serving agencies consisting of the YMCA as lead agency and fiscal agent, YWCA, Boys & Girls Club, Neighborhood Youth Services, Copeland Community Center, Valley Youth Center and Proctor Hermantown Community Education.
